An upright, bushy perennial plant with flowers (actually bracts) that resemble bright red strawberries with tiny yellow "seeds". Flowers are produced from summer to early autumn and are great for cutting and drying. Leaves hairy. Gomphrena is quite tolerant of drought and very tolerant of heat. Use as bedding, as a border, or in the cut flower garden. Blossoms within 10-12 weeks.
